On October 19, four people were taken into custody in connection with the killing of an officer of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Daniel Musyoka.
Prior to his untimely death, Musyoka was the Returning Officer for the Embakasi East Constituency in Kenya’s August General Election.
According to reports, the police tracked the deceased person’s cell phone to Kisii, where it had been sold to a lady.
Additionally, the authorities mentioned that the phone had been formatted before the sale.
On Monday, August 15th, Musyoka’s corpse was found in Kajiado County.
His body was discovered in a bush in Amboseli Park in Kajiado county on August 16, 2022, four days after he went missing on August 12. This was around four days after Kenyans went to the elections.
At the time, inquiries suggested Musyoka had been murdered somewhere and his body dumped in the woods. Indications of torture and struggle were seen on the body.
