James Mugo Ndichu, popularly known as Mugo Wairimu, was sentenced to 29 years in prison on Monday, November 21, after being found guilty of illegally operating a medical clinic.
On Thursday, November 17, the court convicted Mugo guilty of illegally operating a medical clinic and practicing medicine without the necessary academic credentials.
Mugo was charged with 12 offenses in total, and Milimani chief magistrate Wendy Micheni ruled him guilty on 10 of them.
Mugo was sentenced to six months in prison for the fourth offense, one year for the fifth offense, and six months for the seventh offense.
Furthermore, the court has handed Mugo a one year sentence for the ninth account; one year for the tenth account and one year for the eleventh account.
