Answered: When Will 2021 KCSE Candidates Join TVETS?
On September 5, first-year students will begin reporting to various Technical and Vocational Education Training Institutions. The current academic year will last till 2023.
The timetable for the 2022/2023 academic year has been issued by the state department of vocational and technical training.
In a circular dated June 16, the ministry released the timetable which will apply to both public and private TVETs.
“Public TVETs are further required to ensure optimum utilisation of the institution through mounting short/tailor-made training,” the circular reads.
The circular highlights that by doing this, youths would be able to acquire the necessary skills, Tom Mulati signed the circular on behalf of the Principal Secretary.
The first term of the academic year will begin on September 5 and end on November 25.
“Second term will begin on January 9, 2023, and end on March 31. The final terms will begin on May 8 and end on July 28,” the circular reads.
This means 2021 KCSE candidates who applied to join various TVET institutions will be expected to join in September.
