Students at Muiu Secondary School turned against their parents who were protesting, causing a fuss in Makueni town.
According to reports, the parents want the school principal transferred or fired for allegedly chewing muguka with students.
The June 14 protest was also said to have been sparked by reports of early pregnancy at the institution.
“13 students were reported pregnant in the past year, and some teachers are in relationships with female students,” Mwatu FM wrote on Facebook.
The parents were forced to flee for their lives after being pelted with stones by their children.
“We came to school in peace and requested an audience with the head teacher in peace. But some teachers have incited the students against us,” one of the parents said.
The parents are calling for the immediate replacement of the principal citing misconduct, increased indiscipline in the school, mismanagement, further intimating that he is also a habitual drunkard.
